FRAMEWORK

Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) is employed in the assembly of prefabricated components for creating larger structures. The goal is to select and stack several non-uniform components with the help of a robot. The role of the robot in this task is to recognise building components using Computer Vision (CV), and to support the human user by bearing most of the load during assembly. The role of the human is to use their superior cognitive capabilities to handle complex aspects of the task; such as, supervising the grasping and manipulation of components, ensuring that the task is completed safely and successfully.
